Great book on Stanton and the Bizzare Art Underworld
Reviewed on Nov 22, 2021
Heavily illustrated, it tells the story of Stanton and his world, which includes Irving Klaw, Bettie Page, and many obscure publishers who were all harassed (with police raids) for publishing this unique form of art. Even the FBI were in hot pursuit of all these people, it's incredible. The artwork itself is quite beautiful. Even innocent. This is the third book I bought on Amazon from this author. I thoroughly enjoyed his Gene Bilbrew Disclosed book and his Charles Guyette book. They're pieces of an essential history.
